NFL Coach of the Year Odds

With the NFL offseason almost over and with NFL training camp happening within the next two months, coaches have to be prepared along with their general managers for potential roster decisions. Coaching is very vital in today’s NFL. Without a good coach, the players can’t reach their full potential.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel won the Coach of the Year Award last season after Tennessee was the number one seed in the AFC and lost a ton of players due to injury. Sports news has not talked a lot about the potential Coach of the Year in 2022. Who has the best odds to win that award in 2022?

Brandon Staley +1200

Brandon Staley is entering his second season as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. He is the favorite to win the Coach of the Year for this year but bet at your own risk with this one.

Staley coached over his head last season. In a much tougher AFC West division this year, he can not go for it on a fourth-and-one from his own 24-yard line.

Those gambling decisions will cost him his job, especially if they miss the playoff this season. Los Angeles has the talent to make it to the playoffs this season and even win the AFC West title. However, a lot will fall on his coaching staff.

Justin Herbert is the quarterback of this football team and they even improved a really bad defense in the offseason.

The 2022 Los Angeles Chargers will either be made or broken by head coach Brandon Staley. Time will tell here.

Josh McDaniels, Nathaniel Hackett, and Mike McDaniel +1400

All three of these head coaches have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NFL Coach of the Year Award. The best candidate to potentially win this award is Nathaniel Hackett. He is the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Hackett was the Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator last season.

He had a great relationship with Aaron Rodgers over the past couple of seasons in Green Bay. Hopefully, he can do the same with Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos.

Being in lockstep is very important in the NFL. Wilson was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to Denver, Colorado in the offseason.

Some people believe that the Broncos could potentially be Super Bowl favorites and there is a chance they can go all the way.

Josh McDaniels is the new coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. He was the offensive coordinator last season for the New England Patriots. McDaniels probably learned from the last time from his mistakes.

Vegas acquired wide receiver, Davante Adams, from the Green Bay Packers in the offseason. The Raiders also signed defensive end Chandler Jones to upgrade the pass-rushing department. Las Vegas made it to the playoffs last season in utter dysfunction and having quarterback Derek Carr will help out Josh McDaniels big time.

The only problem is that the AFC West is completely loaded. It is going to be a complete gauntlet week in and week out. Also Read – Aaron Boone: Age, Height, Career, Stats, Wife, Salary & Net Worth

Mike McDaniel is the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins after Brian Flores was abruptly fired after last season ended. Flores had Miami start 1-7, but they finished 9-8 to end the regular season though. McDaniel was the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers last year.

He was brought in to be the Miami Dolphins head coach to fix quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but he has already probably reached his ceiling. It is Miami’s front office’s fault they drafted him over Justin Herbert’s fifth overall back in the 2020 NFL Draft. That question should be reserved for general manager Chris Grier though.

Tagovailoa will have Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek Hill (acquired in trade via the Kansas City Chiefs), and Mike Geiscki to throw the football too, but can he even reach them? The Miami Dolphins will not win the AFC East title because of the Buffalo Bills. However, can the Miami Dolphins win more than nine football games this year? That will be the big question though.
